Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)

We specialise in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Our instructors teach the 3 phases needed for MMA. It is great for all to try, whether it’s for competitions, self motivation, confidence or just to get in shape and improve your core strengths. To excel in MMA you require an all round game rather than training in an individual martial arts discipline.

We teach;
Kick Boxing
Incorporates various forms of kick boxing, but always in mind that techniques need to move you into the other phases. Accuracy, timing and speed are essential, our training will hone these skills to give you confidence to remain on your feet or to go for those take downs!
Clinch & Take Downs
This phase takes you to close quarters and incorporates Muai Thai Boxing, Roman Geco Wrestling and take down throws from the traditional arts like Judo through to modern free style systems. It is a pivotal position as both the attacker and more importantly the defender. This area can win or lose you the fight!
Jiu Jitsu & Submission Wrestling
Our ground fighting is based on a combination of Jiu Jitsu, Submission Wrestling and other free-style techniques that are relevant within MMA and the grappling arena. From this phase you can return to your stand up game, strike whilst on the ground or submit your opponent with a choke or lock. You will be able to end the fight from numerous positions in numerous ways!
